DANCING BROOMS

Like actors on a stage the dancing brooms create a surreal atmosphere to strengthen the imagination of the viewer, to bring him to his limits of perception and thus blur the line between illusion and reality. Their dis-functional shape requires a rethinking of the way a broom is usually used and a different kind of interaction. The broom usually has a very pragmatic use but the act of sweeping can also be perceived as meditative. With the dancing brooms this meditative activity is continued throughthe act of balance. Each of  these brooms can be easily brought into balance through its specially shaped base.
